Within the City of North Platte Fire Department, all shift personnel works a rotating set of days that they are on and/or off  shift. Each shift (A-B-C) is on duty 24 hours, off duty 24 hours for five shifts and then on day #10 the respective shift gets 6 full days off. Our department is a combination department consisting of 39 paid shift personnel and 15 volunteer personnel. Our career staff includes  Advanced Life Support Paramedics, EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Advanced, and Basic Life Support EMT’s. Within the City of North Platte Fire Department, we have a long standing history and tradition of providing high quality, professional service to our beloved community.
