Please Spay or Neuter Your Pets!

Spaying and neutering of all pets is important. A spayed or neutered animal is better behaved; will live a longer, healthier life; and is less likely to roam. Spaying and neutering also helps prevent overpopulation of unwanted pets.

PAWS-itive Partners Humane Society offers financial assistance to responsible pet owners who cannot afford to have their pet spayed/neutered. Applications can be obtained at the Animal Shelter and at local veterinarian’s offices.

The Animal Shelter is division of the North Platte Police Department and works with PAWS-itive Partners Humane Society (an independent, non-profit organization which receives no city funding) to encourage the adoption of unwanted pets and to promote spaying and neutering.
