City Clerk

The position of City Clerk, as mandated by the Revised Statutes of the State of Nebraska 1943 § 16-317, is appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. It is the duty of the City Clerk to attend meetings of the City Council and keep a record of the proceedings thereof. Whenever required by the Mayor or requested by the members of the Council, she shall deliver a notice to the members of the Council of any special meeting, and shall notify any and all committees of the council of the business entrusted to them. The Clerk shall, in addition to the general duties imposed by law, perform such duties as may be imposed by ordinance or directed by the governing body.
