2005 National Gold Medal Award Finalist

The National Gold Medal Award is presented by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA) in partnership with the the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).

 

The Gold Medals represent and honor the nation’s outstanding park and recreation agencies for excellence in the field of recreation management. The program focuses on the achievements of state park systems and their contributions in providing park, recreation, and leisure services to the citizens of their states.

 

The City of North Platte: Leisure and Public Service Department was recognized as one of three finalists in the national competition in the Class V bracket representing entities with a population of 25,000 and under.
