The City of North Platte Sewer Department maintains the collection system that delivers raw wastewater to the North Platte Wastewater Treatment Facility.  The Sewer Department only maintains the sewer main itself.     The sewer service from the house, (“lateral “) to the main is owned and maintained by the property owner that it services.    During regular business hours our department will check the city main at no charge if you are having issues.  After hours we will check our mains but if the problem is in your lateral you will be charged the over time fee.
