RSVP Overview

You’ve gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering with RSVP.


RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for people age 55 and over. Join RSVP and you join 500,000 volunteers across the country and 650 volunteers locally.


The NPRSVP recruits North Platte/Lincoln County citizens. Don’t let the words “Retired” and “Senior” scare you away. RSVP has, and is looking for, members that are working full time (not retired) and baby boomers (definitely not seniors, right?).


NPRSVP offers a full range of volunteer opportunities with a hundred local organizations. Some of the organizations that are currently involved with NPRSVP is the North Platte Community College, Bargain Bin, American Legion Baseball, American Red Cross, elementary schools, Eagles Club, Golden Spike, Children Museum, Lincoln County Historical Museum, food pantries, North Platte Senior Center, ands the list goes on and on.


With RSVP, you choose how and where you want to serve. You choose the amount of time you want to give. And you choose whether to use your skills or develop new ones. In short, you find the opportunity that’s right for you.


RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matched the personal interests and skills of Americans 55 years and older with opportunities to serve their communities.


We ask that Volunteers track their volunteer hours on a the timesheets and turn it into the RSVP Office on a monthly basis.
