City of North Platte: Leisure Services: Senior Center Meals
Senior Center: Meals
The North Platte Senior Services Center is located at 900 E. 10th Street.
HOME DELIVERED MEALS
HOME DELIVERED MEALS are a way to insure a well-balanced mid-day meal for the home-bound and
handicapped citizens of our community. When a person is recuperating at home, a volunteer
will check on and visit with them while bringing a nutritious meal. Special diets are available
as needed. Requirements for a home delivered meal are that a person is homebound and
has a doctor's order. The cost of the meal is $3.50 for citizens 60 years of age and older, and
$4.50 for those younger than 60 years. You are encouraged to come to the Senior Center as soon as you
are able.
For information about this program please call 308-532-6544.
CONGREGATE MEALS
CONGREGATE MEALS are well-balanced, nutritious meals served at noon, Mondays through Fridays, at
the North Platte Senior Center, 901 E. 10th Street.
Anyone 60 years of age and their spouse (regardless of age) is welcome to join us for food, fun and
friendship. You are asked to make a suggested donation of $3.50 per meal. Persons under the age of 60
pay a set price of $4.50.
RESERVATIONS CAN BE MADE BY CALLING 532-6544 on the morning of the day you are planning to come for lunch.
Menus are posted at the center, in the local newspaper, and are also announced on the radio every morning.
They are also listed in the Senior Center Newsletter.
We plan our menus around a low fat and no salt added diet. All special diets are available for congregate
and home delivered meals upon request.
