Home Delivered Meals

Home Delivered Meals are a way to insure a well-balanced mid-day meal for the home-bound and handicapped citizens of our community. When a person is recuperating at home, a volunteer will check on and visit with them while bringing a nutritious meal. Special diets are available as needed. Requirements for a home delivered meal are that a person is home bound and has a doctor’s order. The cost of the meal is $5.50 for citizens 60 years of age and older, and $7.50 for those younger than 60 years. You are encouraged to come to the Senior Center as soon as you are able.

Menus are posted at the center, in the local newspaper, announced on the radio every morning, listed in the North Platte Senior Center Newsletter and RSVP Newsletter, posted on the North Platte Senior Center Facebook page and on the City website.

We plan our menus around a low fat and no salt added diet. All special diets are available for congregate and home delivered meals upon request.
