Dances
Come dance with us every Wednesday from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Cost is $7.00-$10 per person depending on the band.
Public Bingo
Saturdays. Early bird game starts at 6:30 p.m. Open to those 19 years and older. $5.00, $10.00 and $15.00 packet sold. $1.00 special games. Pickle Cards are available.
Pet Food Pantry
An application must be completed. Please bring proof of income, age, pet spayed/neutered, and current rabies certificate. Pet food is distributed monthly as long as grant funding is available.
Farmers Market Coupons
Coupons are available for persons 60 years and older who are on a limited income. Proof of income is required (tax returns or social security stubs). Coupons are available around June 1st. They are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. The Coupons are valued at $48.00. Coupons can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from the Farmers Market throughout the season. Although, please be aware that not all vendors accept the coupons. Un-used coupons are detrimental to the program so we ask that customers utilize all coupons by October 31st. Health Screenings
Heartland Health & Imaging Stroke Screenings are held twice a year. In the past the pricing was as follows:
- Carotid Artery Screening $45
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm $45
- Peripheral Arterial Disease $45
- Bone Density Screening $45
- Any 3 screenings $109
- Complete Wellness Package $129
Card parties
Come play a game of cards….make new friends on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Bring your favorite finger foods to share. Play Pitch, Pinochle, Hand and Foot, etc. A donation is collected to cover the cost of table service.
Painting Classes
Come try your hand at China painting. Classes are on the 1st Monday of every month at 1:00 p.m.

Medicare Part D Comparisons
A qualified staff person will sit down with you and go over the medications you currently take to find the best coverage for you. Appointments can be made October 15th-December 7th by calling 532-6544.
Lending Library
We have lots of books that are available to borrow. Stop by and check a few out. If you have books at home you would like to get rid of, please bring them to us and we will add them to the library.
Medical Equipment
We do have some medical equipment available to borrow. We have wheel chairs, power chairs, walkers, canes, toilet risers, shower benches, hospital bed, wound & colostomy supplies, C-Pap, hydraulic lift & much more. Please give us a call to see if maybe we have what you are looking for. Also, if you have any of the above you would like to get rid of, please bring them to us.
Hearing Aid & Eye Glass Collection
We do have collection containers for hearing aids and eye glasses you no longer need. We donate them to worthwhile organizations who help elderly & low income individuals.

North Platte Senior Center publishes a monthly newsletter with information regarding the activities, menu and information on local community events. Newsletters can be picked up at the Senior Center or for $12.00 a year, we will mail you one each month.
