"Pioneer Stories of the Famous & the Forgotten
North Platte Cemetery Tour
This is a special Cemetery Tour that will be held during NebraskaLand Days. This tour celebrates North Platte's pioneering past and the "ghosts" on the tour will be from the 1850's through the early 1900s. Only one outside cemetery tour is planned.

Actors will perform a living history presentation depicting some of the people who first settled in North Platte. The tour includes the person who built the first log cabin which was used as a general store; the earliest newspaper editor; North Platte's first mayor; and a strong woman who crossed the prairies in a covered wagon and settled on a ranch near our town, etc. The stories of several more pioneers will also be told.
