Basic Organization of the City of North Platte

The City of North Platte is organized as four (4) wards with two (2) council
representatives for each ward. The day to day operations of the city are
overseen by a city administrator and a mayor.
In addition to city administration, the City of North Platte is divided into
nine (9) departments providing community services with an additional three (3)
central departments supporting internal city functions.
City of North Platte: Mayor: Council Meeting Information
City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each
month. The meetings normally begin at 7:30 p.m. and are held in the City
Council Chambers at City Hall, 211 West Third Street.
An agenda is prepared the week prior to the City Council meeting. The agenda
is a listing of the order of business for the upcoming meeting. An abbreviated
agenda is available to the public from the City Clerk's office at City Hall or
you may print a copy from this website.
