Director of Finance and Administration (City Treasurer)
The Director of Finance and Administration oversees the operations and activities of the
Finance and Administration department. The Director of Finance and Administration also
serves as City Treasurer per the Revised Statutes of the State of Nebraska 1943, § 16-317, and shall receive
and be the custodian of all money belonging to the City of North Platte.

City Clerk
The position of City Clerk, as mandated by the Revised Statutes of the State
of Nebraska 1943 § 16-317,is appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the
City Council. It is the duty of the city clerk to attend every meeting of the city
council and keep a record of the proceedings thereof. Whenever required by the mayor
or requested by the members of the council, he shall deliver a notice to the members
of the council of any special meeting, and shall notify any and all committees of the council of the
business entrusted to them. The clerk shall, in addition to the general duties
imposed by law, perform such duties as may be imposed by ordinance or directed
by the governing body.

City of North Platte: Informations Systems
Information Systems Department
The Information Systems Department supports and maintains the technology
infrastructure and systems used by the City. The IS Department has a director
and two support professionals. The IS Director chairs an Information Technology
Committee made up of employees in each department who have a pulse on the
technology issues within their own departments. The IT Committee and IS
Department work together to coordinate technology infrastructure and support
requirements for the City of North Platte.

Legal Department
The Legal Department oversees all legal functions of the City of North Platte
and serves in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Administrator and City
Council.
