City of North Platte: Fire: Fire Safety House
Fire Safety House
The Fire Safety House is a mobile classroom that is used to teach boys and
girls about fire safety. It is ADA accessible. Classes teach children how to
properly use extension cords, space heating safety, kitchen safety, and how to
evacuate from a smoke filled room.
The Fire Safety House was purchased through donations from citizens, local
organizations, and companies. Without those donations, this program would not
have been successful. Many thanks for your generosity.
The Fire Safety House is loaned out to surrounding Fire Departments within a
75-mile radius of North Platte. To schedule a time to use the Fire Safety
House, call 308-535-6768.
