1,240,000 total fires were reported in the U.S. during 2013.  487,500 of these were structure fires.

3,240 Civilian Fire Deaths – one death every 2 hours and 42 minutes.

15,925 Civilian Fire Injuries – one person is injured every 33 minutes.

Total fire loss/property damage (structure, home structure, vehicle and outside fire) was over 22 billion dollars.

 

A fire department was responding to a fire call somewhere in the U.S. every 25 seconds.

These include:

A vehicle fire every 167 seconds.

One outside fire every 56 seconds.

A structure fire every 85 seconds.

A home structure fire every 85 seconds.
