The Eclipse is Exactly One Month Away!

“Eclipses Future” is the final presentation in our 3-part series on solar eclipses leading up to the total solar eclipse on August 21st that will be observable from the North Platte area. This final program focuses on the eclipse phenomenon itself, types of eclipses, and their cause and frequency. But most importantly the primary focus will be on how to safely observe and experience the upcoming total solar eclipse when persons in a 70-mile-wide swath across Nebraska will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to stand in the shadow of the Moon and marvel at what is frequently called “Nature’s grandest spectacle.”

Please call the library at 535-8036, Ext. 3310 to reserve a seat for this free program. Iced tea and water will be provided.
